Floor Ruts ????? How to remove ??

I used a drum sander last weekend on the downstairs floors, to allow the floorboards to be re-varnished.

Only realised after applying the first coat of varnish that there are small ruts where the sander was standing.

Altough being very shallow they do stand out, and was wondering on the best way to make repair.

Does the whole floor need to be re-sanded, Do I use a drum Sander ?, Or should I use a finishing sander (Orbittal) ? or perhaps venture out and buy a belt sander?

    Apprecaite your guidance ?
