Floor Tiling on FIXED Vinyl tiles

Hi All,
I am about to tile my kitchen floor with some large 60X30 tiles, the current flooring is ribbed wood lookalike vinyl floor tile stuck to the concrete floor, they are VERY well stuck and wont come up, firstly i assume its OK to tile on top and second should i use a particular adhesive (self or ready mix) and should i prep the floor first ? (PVA)
