flow and return pipes

Post by pat1234 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 7:49 am

I am currently installing all the pipework for a combi fed system. It is for a new extension.

I wanted to know that instead of running the flow and return pipes out of the boiler and then teeing off straight away for the upstairs radiators, could I pipe through 2 downstairs rads first and then tee off for the upstairs rads.

cheers.

Not advised as heat will not be evenly distributed and you could find the last rad on the system starved of heat. You need 22mm flow and return with branches to each radiator in either 15mm or 10mm
