Flowmax cylinder sounds like continually re-filling

by ksaxton » Fri Oct 31, 2008 2:38 pm

Hi,

Having problems with Flowmax cylinder (double pump set up).

Recently had a problem with the central heating which required the Heating pump to be replaced. Since then there seems to be a problem with the cylinder continually re-filling (or at least that's what it sounds like).

With the heating off /water on and the boiler thermostat switched to maximum the system eventually stops filling; however when the boiler thermostat is turned down again to "normal level" (heating still off) it goes back to re-filling again and does not stop.

Had a heating engineer take a look (as follow up to the pump replacement) and he was a bit stumped - does anyone have any ideas - either that I could try or that I could relay to the next engineer that comes, just in case he is also stumped :-)!!

Thanks in anticipation.
