Flue duct penetration into roof

by m7ohn » Sun Oct 14, 2007 6:13 am

I've just purchased a vertical flue kit - Worcester Condesate II - I don't see anything in the kit that provides protection against the duct passing through the combustible roofing material i.e insulation, osb board then roof membrane.
What do i need to give me this protection. Is there a metal sleeve or something i need to purchase?

Thanks

Marcus

It would seem i need a firestop plate - 100mm internal diameter - but in two halves so it can form an oval shape to fit round the flue pipe on an pitched roof.

Any ideas where to get one from?

Marcus
