Front Door Problem - Sticking Yale Style Door Catch?

Post by Adrian130980 » Fri Sep 26, 2014 7:08 am

Hi
I am new here and my first post.

I have a yale style catch on my front door and it is very hard to close sometimes!

It is not stuck it pushes in and out easily
Is in alignment
But when we close from the outside by pulling the door it needs to be slammed!

Very strange as it sometimes works fine

Any advice would be great

Adrian

its probably due to expansion, try shutting it when the sun isn't on it,the door needs 1 or 2 mm planning off it by the sound of it
