fused switch

A fused switch has burnt out, I am trying to fit a new one and the question I have is on the switch is load in or out or is supply in or out. Any help would be super. Thank you

First question I would ask is why has it burnt out and has that problem been resolved?
Load is to the equipment/cable that the fuse connection is protecting.
Supply is from the live side, where the power is being taken
