Gas boiler heats rads, but not water - why?

by emanday » Sun May 30, 2010 5:17 pm

I've had this problem for a few months now. The rads work OK, but the hot water starts to come through the taps only for a minute or so, then goes cold again.

I haven't managed to run a bath for months and If it weren't for my electric shower I'd not be pleasant to be around!

Engineers don't seem to be able to solve the problem.

Help?

Sorry, I should have thought of that.

The boiler is a Ravenheat, between 6 and 8 years old. I don't know the model I'm afraid and it's in the loft, so very difficultfor me to get to.

If it's a combi - then it's probably a diverter or sensor fault.
