GAS GUN used with propane.

by greengrass » Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:30 pm

I have borrowed long bayonet torch used for the torch on flat roofing felt to repair a patch on my garage roof and find on connecting to propane bottles from my caravan, the hose to bottle fitting leaks and is fitted tight.

From experience of using smaller torches on GPO for lead jointing I know these fittings are dry fit what could cause it to leak?.

I know the female fitting on the bottles are ok as they never leaked when the caravan regulator was fitted. Its almost new gas gun complete and has been used about 4 times even the flame wind shroud is not that discoloured. I am going to tell him to take it back to supplier but need any amunition to fire at them.
Oh! direct connection to bottle no regulator used of course.
