Gas pipes inside the house
Hi, ive got a hole in my concreate floor, where i have discovered a gas pipe. it looks like 15mm covered in yellow tape. Now i need to fill this hole back in but not sure what to surround the gas pipe with. eg sand or screed. Im hoping to fill the top back in with concreate. The pipe at present is above the dampproofing. And is it correct that it only needs to be 50mm(2") below the serface? thank
should be ok, the yellow plastic is a protective coating to protect against corrosion, just screed over as filling with sand at only 2" deep the concrete will crack fairly quickly.
