Glow Worm 18sxi Safety Valve Replacement

Post by CarrotCakeIsYum » Thu Oct 24, 2013 2:42 pm

Hi All,

I'm new here... help would be very appreciated!

I'm having some trouble with my boiler, t's a Glow Worm 18sxi and can't maintain pressure. After a bit of investigation I think it's the safety valve that's the problem (it's dripping).

The replacement part isn't very expensive, but can someone tell me how easy it is to fit? I'm quite tight on space - the side of the boiler is meant to swing outward but can't because the wall is in the way. I've attached a photo.

Cheers.

Hi
Sorry, but I really can't recommend any DIY work on a gas appliance. Although the part concerned is obviously not connected with the gas components, there may be other faults on the boiler.
So please get a Gas Safe registered engineer to sort it out, and carry out safety checks.
