gravel on wall vents?

Post by neep » Mon Nov 03, 2008 10:16 pm

Any help much appreciated on this one.

I have a small uneven strip of land at the side of my house which I am going to fill and level with gravel or "chuckies" as we call them up here. I have several vents on an exterior wall just at ground level. I would like to actually lay the gravel to a good depth and could even go above the height of the vents. I'm thinking that because the gravel pieces are a good size that the vents will not be totally blocked as it should be fairly loose and will also help drainage.

Is it crazy to cover the vents with these small stones??

Thanks in advance.

neep.
