Green Oak beams for first floor

Does anyone have experience using green oak beams. We've had good and bad opinions......

We want to construct a first floor mezzanine for a bathroom and open plan office area


Main beam is 30X30X6m and beams off it 20X7.5X4m with gaps of 50cm

All advice much appreciated
