'Gurgling' shower tray

This problem has only just started - there's a toilet connected to the same main waste pipe as the shower waste and when the toilet is flushed the shower waste 'gurgles' and I suspect waste will be coming out of it soon if I don't do something. I've tried strong chemicals down the toilet to clear the drain but to no avail. Any suggestions gratefully received!
