Header Tank Cover?

by maurice9741 » Sun Jan 16, 2011 4:02 am

Hello, I have a header tank in the loft of this house and its not covered. To be honest I did not think I needed it covered. but someone told me I should, it works perfectly well and is well insulated. Should i purchase a cover?

Yes, it prevents moisture escaping to the loft space - over a long period can cause problems with rotten timbers in loft/roof space.

It also prevents dust sitting on the water - which will eventually end up in the heating system.
