Height of sockets

Do new sockets in an extension have to be at the minium height as stated in regs or can they be at the same height as the rest of house sockets to match in?The ? equates to the light switches as well.

Hi Andyb, for reference Part M of bldg regs is the one that covers your ? & it only applies to new build domestic work, it applies to extentions to non-domestic also.
It says also "If a dwelling is rewired there is no requirement to provide the measures described above providing on completion of the work the building is no worse in terms of the compliance with applicable parts of schedule 1 to the bldg. reg."
