help!!....decking marks

I stained my decking,and next year cleaned with decking cleaner.Since then I have a lot of areas with a horrible sticky substance which goes white when dried out.I have tried a different decking cleaner,soap & water,power hosing, everything!! I can't get rid of it & am going slowly mad.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a sap to us Stewart. Click on the link below to get to a knotting solution which you can paint onto these areas to stop the sap coming through.

Thanks for the advice.....I bought the knotting solution you recommended,but it was too dark for my decking,but I have since found a clear solution,which I am going to try.Thanks again
