HELP finding a radiator the correct size!

Post by nitro23456 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 1:03 pm

Hi

I need a new radiator in our master bedroom - the current one is knackered and measures 600mm (H) x 640mm (W).

I cant find one this size anywhere! Does anyone know where I can get one reasonably priced - just a bog standard one thats about £30notes.

Alternatively I suppose I will have to get 600x600 with a 40mm extension or repipe, but ideally I would like a straight swap.

YOU COULD USE ADJUSTABLE RAD TAILS THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO FIT THE STANDARD 600 X 600 RAD.

ONE LONG ONE ON 1- SIDE OR TWO SHORT ONES 1- EACH SIDE.

HAVE NOT SEEN RADS OF 640 WIDTH ONLY WIDTHS IN MULTIPLES OF 100.

SEARCH RADIATOR TAILS AT SCREWFIX.

i doubt that you will find one. might have to compromise and use the adjustable valves. or drain down and redo the f&r pipes.
