Considering a very basic attic converstion to provide some space for me to work. Its a partially boarded area, i am planning to insulate and board the rest of the floor and plywood and insulated the roof wall - thats it.
However, there is a large beam running the width of the room and i wanted to know what is was for, and if i wanted to remove it, what could i replace it with (i assume its supportive?)
Any information would really help!
