help needed with Hoover Nextra washing machine

    Postby Lynnoot » Thu Apr 21, 2011 3:57 pm

Can anyone help me, I'm at my wit's end. My washing machine is making some clothes dirtier than when they went in! It seems to happen mainly with sheets, which are never very dirty, but come out with oily looking marks, or bits that look like bits of leaves. I mostly wash at 40, 60 for sheets and towels, and very seldom on 30. I've tried putting white wine vinegar through on 90 wash, ditto with soda crystals and washing machine cleaner. The problem won't go away, and I really don't know what to do.

I wonder if it's anything to do with the spin, as it spins at 1600 revs.

    Any ideas?

We had this not long ago. We think it was due to mould appearing in the system that injects the washing powder/liquid/softener. I tried cleaning it as best as I could and it helped a little.

In the end we just replaced the machine as there are parts you just can't get to to clean.

Now we don't use the tray for the chemicals, just pop them in the drum. Hopefully that will prevent it happening again...
