HELP!:Opening nail shut shutters

by mrs frogger » Mon Aug 10, 2009 10:25 pm

Hello,
In our bay window lounge, we have what we believe to be nailed shut shutters we would like to open up. The shutter budges when pulled except for the bottom corner which is why we think it may be nailed shut. Has anyone seen anything like this? Any idea how I could find the nails and get them out? There was some obvious filling which we chipped way but couldn't see the nail.
The flat was built in the 19th century if that helps...
Thank you!

mrs frogger,
Buy yourself a window frame wrecking bar and carefully lever the shutters open.
end
