Help Putting up a Pole Between Bedroom Wall and Cupboard Kitchens, doors, rails, stud, tables, chairs, stair cases, garden furniture etc... Find answers and ask questions here!

I am trying to find a solution to put a pole across a gap between a bedroom wall and cupboard. I have a left over pole from putting up the curtains that I can cut down but it's the fitting I need help with.

In my head, I'm imagining screwing in a thing at either end of the pole, that I can adjust outward pushing against both cupboard and wall creating the hanger, but I can't think what it would be called. I'm guessing it would have rubber feet at either side.

Am not in any way shape or form a competent DIYer so any help appreciated!
