Help with LED strips

by Joe.Smith » Mon Aug 23, 2010 11:55 am

Hi, I realize my question will be simple for most of you but I am just trying to get into DIY in my home, and do not want to do anything foolish.
I bought RGB strip lights of 35 metre and want to connect them in the living room. Now, I understand from this website I have to have a controller and a transformer as well, which I will have to connect. But how do I connect them if I cut them into smaller pieces? Are there any gadgets to do this?
This is the strip light: Google "ledcentre.uk.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26&category_id=232&flypage=shop.flypage&lang=en&manufacturer_id=0&page=shop.product_details&product_id=173"
Thanks for your help in advance.

The instructions say you can cut them at indicated points and it will need 4 core cable between the bits.
There is quite a good instruction on the site not sure what I can add.

Hi Eric, Thanks for your help, I didn't notice the manual instruction. It is quite simple indeed.
