    holes in wall after curtain rail fall

    i fell on the curtains while house sitting for my bro and ripped the rail off the wall completly, leaving quite big holes, what is the best way to fill these holes and re fix the curtain rail before he gets back in 2 days time please????

    hiya,
    if you have found the answer then please pass it on to me, i have the exact same problem... i need to put the curtain back in the same place but dont know what to fill the hole with. ive tried a mixture of pieces of wall plug, dowl and pva glue, the blimin thing just keeps falling back out again. DIY expert, i aint...

    fix a wooden batten to the wall the same length as the curtain track. then fix the track to this. with a bit of luck it wil hide the holes as well. bear in mind that above the window there will quite likely be a lintel. care and a decent drill required.
