Hot water in Kitchen mixer has very low pressure

Post by maesltrom_man » Fri May 09, 2008 1:25 pm

Hi - the hot water from my Kitchen mixer tap is down to a dribble. Its a bit quicker when first switched on (i.e. cold) but diminishes down to a dribble once hot. Is this a washer replacement and if so does anyone have a link to a decent DIY posting please. Thanks. MM

Have a look here:

It could be a blockage in the tap or the pipework. Almost certainly it won't be a washer in a conventional tap as these are rubber and last for years and years and years. If it's a ceramic disk type that might mean a new cartridge.

Cheers
