hot water system

by trevors50uk » Mon Jul 02, 2007 4:20 pm

I have recently changed a cloakroom toilet and cistern. But now want to change the sink.
I am ok with isolating the cold water but unsure about isolating the hot water to the sink.
The heating and water are supplied from a combi boiler.

you should be able to isolate the hot water as it enters the combi, then open your hot taps to confirm isolation

With a combi boiler turning off the mains cold water supply, will stop the water to the hot taps as well as the cold taps.

Also make sure you turn down the hot water temp nob or isolate boiler as some can go to lockout if the hot tap is opened to suply hot water with the mains water turned off.
