Hotpoint dishwasher fdw20

The other day the waste pipe split in the dishwasher and shorted out the sockets downstairs. I have replaced the waste pipe but am having problem getting it to run the programs. The program starts but the the pre wash and rinse light flash together. In the manual this is a blocked filter, i cant see a blockage and it emptys water when I pour it in the filter dirrectly. All i can think of is there is an airlock somewhere. The dishwasher was unside down for afew days after.
