I am having a ground floor extension built which will accomodate a utility room in which will be a new Worcester Danesmoor Utility oil fired condensing boiler. This will heat both the house and domestic hot water.
I intend having an unvented 250-300L tank fitted adjacent to the boiler. The make of tank is as yet undecided but will probably incorporate a second coil for a future Solar Panel array.
However, someone recently told me that there may be a problem with having both the boiler and tank next to each other on the ground floor. They could not be more specific so I wonder if the experts, or certainly those with practical experience of my intended setup, can cast any light on the subject.
