How do I remove coving without damaging the ceiling/walls?

    Postby VicM » Tue Mar 25, 2008 7:35 am

I would greatly appreciate any help with this. I am going to have my walls and ceiling plastered but need to remove the coving as the existing one is uneven and ugly. Any ideas how I can get it off with minimal damage?

Thanks, from a new lady DIYer :-)

    VIC,

I USED OLD BROAD/FLAT WALLPAPER SCRAPER WHENEVER I HAVE REMOVED COVING.

MINIMAL DAMAGE OCCURS AND ANY THAT DOES RESULT, IS EASILY FILLED AND SANDED.

THE MORE TIME AND CARE YOU TAKE THE LESS TIME YOU'LL SPEND FILLING AND SANDING.

IT'S A TRADE OFF EITHER WAY!

    ALDA.
