How to hang a wire at a small distance from the wall

Hello all:
I have 2 ongoing DIY projects which are related.

1. I'm trying to fit a long length of stainless steel wire (diameter 1.5 mm.) at a distance of about 8 to 10 cm. [b]from the wall[/b]. I need to find the supports for the wire. These supports can be 1 m. apart. The wire is not load-bearing but there doesn't seem to be anything in the DIY shops for such type of mountings or supports (to mount a wire away from the wall)

2. Trying to fit 2 parallel wires, 10 cm. apart, at a distance of about 8 to 10 cm. from the wall, again not load-bearing. I imagine this will be even more difficult than the single wire project. :?:
