How to mitre 6" skirting ?

Can anybody recommend or tell me how to mitre 6" skirting?

Are there any cost effective mitre boxes out there or compound saws that can do the job?

Any compound saw with a tilting action will do the job.

Yes - don't :-). Profile it as its much easier and you'll get a much better result.
