I've put fence stain on new decking - is this bad?

Just about to lay some decking and I thought I'd stain it before I laid it. I used some ronseal fence stain I had left over as a sort of undercoat and to give it a bit of extra protection from the elements until I get time to lay it.

The plan was to get some proper decking stain and finish it off with that but after I'd finshed doing the 'undercoat' I realised that it says clearly on the container that it isn't suitable for decking.

I was wondering if anyone has got any ideas about what to do about it?

Am I OK to just carry on as planned and put the proper decking stain on on top of it or it or will it have to be all taken off?

Any help would be much appreciated.
