    Ideal boiler

    Postby Dusty » Sun Jul 01, 2007 12:58 am

My friend has a Ideal boiler and has bought all materials including copper pipe, he doesn't want plastic, to fit a large towel rail in his bathroom.
He bought pushfits to make the job easier for him but has lost confidence in his ability so I'm helping him out. He can relay the flooring.

Will the following mentioned pressures have any bearing on the use of plastic speedfit pushfit joints which the pack info states
'Speefit pushfits are suitable for central heating applications. I assume figures are to do with runnng pressure of the heating system.

' With the pump fitted, fill and vent the system until the
pressure gauge registers 1.5 bar (21.5lb/in2)
    Examine for leaks.
    • Check the operation of the safety valve by manually
raising the water pressure until the valve lifts. This
should occur within ± 0.3 bar (± 4.3lb/in2.) of the
    preset lift pressure.

These pressures are well within the limits of the push fit fittings.
