immersion heater

Hi,I have an albion immersion heater capacity 210 litres,length of heater is 1300mm i believe it is a direct water cylinder immersion only for hot water to sinks and bath,it has 2 thermostats one at the top and one at the bottom it is 3 kw.The problem i have is that have had to replace the bottom thermostat twice in 3 months,the first one lasted 2 months,the second one lasted a week,then no hot water.My question is would it be the thermostats blowing if so what could be causing this.I really do not want to buy another thermostat as i guess it will just not work after awhile again.
