Incorrect wiring

by PracticalPam » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:53 pm

When I recently turned off the switch in the consumer box for my door bell, I found that this switch also turned off my oven and combi boiler. How much of a fire risk is this ? How can I rectify this ? If I can't reroute the doorbell wiring, then I'm quite happy to remove all the wiring for the doorbell, but need some advise on how to go about it. Is the boiler meant to be separate from the oven?

I think that possibly , your Oven , boiler and bell r all on same mcb. i would get in an electrcian to investigate 4 u as it it involves taking off the mains board cover to check. yes separate circuits
would b the way to . get advice first.
