Ink Stains

My Daughter has a good solid dining room table which has light coloured veneer surfaces, unfortunately whilst the unit was in store an Inkjet printer was put on it and the ink has maked the veneer. A good deal was removed by using a piece of glass ' like a spokeshave' but there sttill a few small marked areas. As it is veneered I don't want to sand it too far in case I go though to the base wood.
Any suggestions how to remove or at least make stains less obvious?
