Installing a dishwasher to existing pipes

I need advice on fitting a dishwasher, I want to add waste pipe to the existing pipe from the washing machine but the size is smaller than what I can get from the DIY store. Any suggestions

often D/W outlets are fixed onto a graduated pipe coming from your sink waste trap.
