installing a lintel

hi can anyone help ? i am building a new bick front porch consisting of one skin brick and inner skin block as a DIYer i am unsure how to install a lintel !

Do i need one for the window which will have a load of bricks and the roof on top of them.

Do i need to install a lintel above the new door frame too ?

the window and door will be in u.p.v.c.

If the door or window frame has any load on tiop of it it needs a lentel. See our project on cavities and lintels.
