I LIVE IN A HOUSE WITH NO RADIATORS. I WOULD LIKE TO INSTALL SOME. I HAVE A GAS FIRE(DOESNT WORK) IN THE LIVING ROOM WITH A BACK BOILER(WORKING) AND A TANK UP STAIRS. HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT INSTALLING RADIATORS, WHAT SHOULD I BE ASKING FOR/EXPECTING FROM A INSTALLER
Its not hard to fit your own radiators if you've got a few basic tools and a bit of know how. I've just finished moving a few radiators around in my house and it was really quite easy.
I used speedfit/push fit connectors and plastic ploy pipe, both of which are fine for C/H. Theres a few handy hints on this site and you can buy all the fittings through the plumbing section in the toolstore.
Hope this helps!
