installing new bathroom suite

by weegie » Tue May 08, 2007 1:35 pm

Hi, I'm currently doing as stated above. I'm installing a steam shower cubicle and sink. I'm going to be fitting a 1.5 bar pump also. My question is is 15mm qual-pex barrier pipe ok to use for this?(offer enough flow?) the temp rating is ok(2Bar@92c). currently there is 22mm pipe going to all taps. Also can I connect the hot water tap in the kitchen to this without there being a pressure drop in the bathroom?

I have concrete floors downstairs so having to bring pipe under floor upstairs, can i cut holes in joists to run pipes through? If so what sort of clearance is needed for expansion of pipes? 17mm or best to do 22mm?

Thanks in advance Paul
