Installing thermostatic radiator valves

can you install TRVs (Drayton TRV4) on either side of the rad or does the TRV need to be on the flow side?

Hi Lawrence,
The standard is for the TRV to go on the flow side but some are Bi directional. If you look on the side of the TRV pipe they sometimes have an arrow showing which way the flow should go.
