installing vented dryer
i'm moving into a new house and need to install a vent for the dryer, how do i go about this please?
Hi Roy,
I presume you mean a clothes dryer - the size & shape of a washing m/c. If so, put it into position near a suitable elec socket, extend vent tube & mark position of hole for vent and mark it (no kinking oooeerrr) Then drill a big hole, making sure that there are no cables or pipes etc in the route. The hole is best drilled in one go - core drill - borrow/ hire or stitch drill it out then chop it out- hammer & chisel Phew Hth
