Insurance Backed Guarentee

I am trying to get an Insurance backed guarantee for a glassfibre roof to replace my 20m2 felted flat roof. Roofers are willing to give a company guarentee for 25 years but not a IBG. Is this an unreasonable request as it is possible that these companies may not be around in 25 years to honour thier guarentee ?

the guarentee only covers the material manufacture to a british building institution standard,It does not cover the application of it so its hard to get insurance backed guarentee.
As you say companies can give you a 25 year guarentee,but its unlikely they will be able to honour it.
