Internal fixings to cob walls

What is the best wall fixing to be used with cob walls. I have tried many different types of plug but they all seem to just pull out!

Drilling into the wall in the firts place is difficult as this just makes the wall crumble and I end up with a bigger hole than needed.

Any tips would be appreciated.
