inverted cold feed pipe

Post by kenith » Tue Sep 23, 2008 5:52 pm

Hi,
What is the reason, when installing an open vent boiler system, for using an INVERTED cold feed entry into the main feed pipe from the header tank in the loft to the boiler flow pipe?
What is so important about the inverted pipe that an ordinary `T` fitting would not suffice.
Thanks
Ken

there's no point in doing it. makes no difference, it'll not reduce air and can still block up.
