I'm wanting to have built a concrete base with drainage for some dog kennels.
Size will be 48sq m.
I have so far received quotes ranging from £2,500 to £7,500.
Speaking to someone yesterday, I was told that hardcore is not needed if a depth of concrete is 5" is layed.
Is this true ?

its best to lay hardcore first,then compact it, if your laying it 5inches thick its best to reinforce it to stop it from cracking
