Is it Possible to Construct Conservatory Without Digging Footings

by Honeybea » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:26 pm

Hello....I would love to have some advice please....is there anyway I can have a conservatory put up with out having to dig footings for the base. I keep seeing the full height conservatory's that seem to be sitting on a base a few inches higher than ground level, but have these had footings dug. The area I would have the conservatory at the back of my house is all concrete flooring, no drains etc. I just need to know how I can get the base sorted as I don't want the conservatory getting blown down. Any advice at all would be a great help.

You can lay a reinforced slab of concrete, 150mm thick, but its stopping damp coming through the slab afterwards is the problem. You can paint the floor with a quality damp proof paint / sealant to stop it
