Is my Existing Set up Compatible With This Lightwave RF Switch?

Post by callahan » Sat Dec 17, 2016 8:40 pm

Hello,

Sorry to ask but I've been looking into installing a LightwaveRF switch, I've recently replaced an old switch with a newer one and wiring didn't look standard (i might be completely wrong).

I'm 90% sure that the set up I've got now would not work but, just though I'd double check. The left of the picture is what I've currently got now working, Right side of the picture are the connectors for new set up for the switch.

Thanks

The original wiring does not look right to me, it was common to borrow a line from another switch in same plate to get two way lighting with only two wires between the switches. The bridge wire would normally go from Com on donor switch to either L1 or L2 on the two way, and the remaining L and Com would be connected like for like with the other switch of the two way system.

So with the two way switch Com, L1, and L2 all have wires.
