Is Vapour Barrier Required for Piping in Studwork?

Postby leeh1706 » Tue Sep 08, 2015 1:49 pm

I've recently re-routed some water pipes to go behind a stud wall rather than in front of it and while I know I need a vapour barrier between the stud and the plasterboard, will I need an additional layer of vapour barrier behind the pipe(s).

Cheers.

As you describe it, (or I understand it!), no. I cant see that this would achieve anything.
