    Postby jasont82 » Sat Dec 06, 2008 5:02 pm

    hi there

i just had windows re intalled at a computer shop. since i got it back the keyboard has changed. all the letters are the same its the symbols that have either swapped with other keys or i just cant find them at all. ive been told this is an easy fix and i just have to go to settings somewhere and tick the UK box for configuration. does any one know how to do this?

    cheers

You don't say which OS you are using but in XP, if you click "Start"," Control Panel". there is an option called "Regional and Language options". By default the settings are United States for everything which is wrong. Change to "United Kingdom"

Depending on OS version, you may need to choose Language is "US" with "British keyboard" and timezone is London Greenwich GMT.

You may also have to delete the American setting so UK ones become the default.
